Midsummer's eve at Almanak

Midsummer’s Eve is approaching, and at Almanak in the Opera House, we’re looking forward to celebrating the height of summer and the longest day of the year with you on 23 June at 6:00 PM.

This year, we’re bringing back our festive shellfish feast at long communal tables under the Opera’s grand canopy, where you can fully enjoy the bright summer evening with views of the city and the bonfire at Ofelia Plads.

We’ll set up long tables outside, and Head Chef Chris Lindegaard will prepare a beautiful spread of sustainably caught fish and shellfish – served in generous amounts to match your appetite. For dessert, we’ll be serving the ultimate taste of summer: traditional Danish red berry compote with rich cream, rosehip petals and woodruff – the scent and flavour of Danish summer!

We’ll of course be pouring plenty of refreshing wines to accompany the meal, and the evening will end with an inspiring bonfire speech by a surprise guest we’re excited to reveal soon.

Look forward to a true Danish summer night by the water – right in the heart of Copenhagen.
