On Monday, November 10th, we invite you to a cozy and classic Mortensaften celebration in the unique setting of Almanak in the Opera.
For this special evening, our kitchen has created a seasonal three-course menu that highlights the best produce of the time of year. The main course, naturally, features the star of the night: seared duck breast and confit duck leg, served with traditional accompaniments – red cabbage, kale, potatoes, Waldorf salad, and plenty of rich sauce.
For those who wish to complete the experience, a carefully paired wine menu will be available for purchase.

we invite you to a festive Christmas lunch in unique surroundings, when Almanak at the Opera sets the stage for a grand Christmas feast with classic dishes and an unforgettable view of Copenhagen’s harbor.
For the Christmas lunch, the kitchen has composed a lavish menu that celebrates the traditional flavors and ingredients of the season.

Celebrate New Year's Eve overlooking Copenhagen
Celebrate New Year’s Eve high above Copenhagen, where Almanak at the Opera invites you to a New Year’s celebration in the Opera’s magnificent surroundings. We greet you with snacks and champagne when you take your seat, after which you enjoy a 7-course menu focused on the season’s finest fish and shellfish. Look forward to, among other things, Norwegian hand-caught scallops with elderflower, dill and caviar, langoustines with lobster bisque, roasted Piedmont hazelnuts and fresh apples, and New Year’s cod with wild garlic blossoms, pickled pumpkin and smoked crème fraîche. The wine pairing takes you through the classic European wine regions before we end the evening with coffee, marzipan cake and cava. Afterward there is the option to enjoy the fireworks and the fantastic panoramic view over Copenhagen’s harbor from the Opera’s balcony.

New Year’s concert followed by a dinner at Almanak
You also have the option to combine the gastronomic experience with a fantastic New Year’s concert with the Royal Danish Orchestra in the Opera. Before the concert there will be charcuterie and drinks available for purchase, and after the concert we are ready at 20:30 with champagne, snacks and five outstanding courses with wine pairing. We finish with classic Danish 'Kransekage' and cava before the fireworks begin.
