New lunch menu and seafood platter
Spring has arrived and brings with it a host of good things. One of the things we have been looking forward to is being able to have lunch at Almanak in the Opera House again. Starting this week, you can once again enjoy a lunch with a formidable view of Copenhagen and high-quality smørrebrød.
The smørrebrød menu offers our respectful interpretations of the great smørrebrød classics - such as smoked Icelandic salmon with scrambled eggs, herb mayonnaise, crispy cabbage, and seaweed - or our crispy fried fish fillet with Karl Johan remoulade and grilled lemon. In addition, we have been in the green test kitchen to develop a few new items with greens in the lead. For example, try the piece with flavorful beetroot tartare with cottage cheese, tarragon, and pickled onions, or our mushroom salad with crispy and pickled mushrooms, onions, and herbs.
Seafood platter with a view and sun on the nose
Spring also welcomes back our popular seafood platter, which we serve for both lunch and dinner starting on May 1st. The platter takes you on a tour of the finest seafood from Nordic waters and currently features oysters with raspberry vinaigrette, salted Norwegian scallops with geranium, grilled Danish langoustines in lovage butter, Danish lobster with browned butter, and Danish brown crab claws with dill.
The whole feast costs 600 Danish kroner per person, and if you add a glass of crisp bubbles, a little sunshine, and the best view of the city - well, then you really don't need much more, do you?
